Stephen Curry's Vineable road to the NBA Finals
Midway through Under Armour's Curry One commercial, Jamie Foxx boisterously announces that “the game has a new creative genius.” This was a very profound statement by Foxx and over the course of the 2014-2015 season proved to be an accurate description of Stephen Curry. The MVP has produced more highlight plays this season than any other player, becoming the pure definition of “doing it for the Vine”
On his way to the NBA Finals, Curry has continued his highlight onslaught on the opposition. In chronological order, here are 10 of Curry's Vineable playoff moments.
10. Trailing Curry on a fastbreak, Anthony Davis had the perfect opportunity to block Steph's layup. But then this happened.
9. We've been accustomed to Curry making our jaws drop with multiple crossovers and deeep three-pointers however remember Steph is a point guard. A point guard that can make passes like this.
8. Three-pointers have become highlight plays thanks to Curry. Of course, he just doesn't make routine three-pointers. He makes step-back 3s over some of the best defenders in the league.
7. A three-pointer from Curry is so back breaking because he can seemingly make them with ease. Eyes closed and with two defenders closing out on him, that's no problem for Stephen Curry.
6. The Roarcle roared in appreciation for Curry when he received his MVP award in front of them.
5. Unlimited range sounds like an easy concept to understand but Curry makes it truly hard to comprehend.
4. One of Curry's biggest moments of the playoffs was not because of anything he did on the court. All credit would have to go his young daughter Riley who became the undisputed queen of the postgame press conference.
3. Dwight Howard is a big man and yet Curry was able to wrestle a rebound away from him - an offensive one-handed rebound. Shake your head in disbelief but watch it happen.
2. Curry only needed 13 games to set the playoff record for most three-pointers in the playoffs. 13! Heading into the Finals, Curry has made 73 three-pointers but don't expect that number to stay stagnant.
1. Like father, like daughter.
