It appears that longtime Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is finally ready to test the waters of free agency and see what kind of riches he can earn elsewhere. Unlike Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki who also took hometown discounts to allow their general managers to build winners, Dwyane Wade has done it in the prime of his career and now he’s tired of it.
There are plenty of teams starved for a superstar to turn their fortunes around with ticket sales and in the standings. Wade will likely want to play for a contender though, and there are still plenty of those franchises willing to give D-Wade more money than Pat Riley and the Heat.
